As you can tell from the homepage, v2.0 is coming this summer! I have been working on and off for a long time (been very busy with school, finally off for the summer). It will have tons of new feature, as well as an updated design and layout. Right now though, I would like to hear any suggestions you guys have that you would like to see. Also I am thinking about doing an LPP Radio podcast, and I’m wondering if A.) You guys like that idea B.) You would listen and C.) Any ideas you have for that. Over the next couple weeks I will be updating here as I make progress, as well as letting you in on some changes that you should know about in advance.

To expand on the podcast idea, I would be talking about the latest Linkin Park news, play some recent live tracks, aswell as latest LPP updates and stuff from around the Linkin Park community.

Also, yes, the navigation bar has been removed from all pages, and only the blog and forum are accessible. That is intentional. And finally, if you haven’t already, please go download Firefox 3. It is by far the best browser out there.

So this week we have made huge progress on v2.0. Noxious has started working on some updated graphics (and they are sick), and I am a good 80% done with the new layout! The biggest step I took today was now the layout is completely W3C valid!

For those of you who are not familiar, W3C is an organization that strives to set standards and guidelines to “lead the Web to its full potential.” By having the xHTML, CSS, & RSS all be W3C valid, that means the site will look as intended in all browsers.

So hear is a list of some of the updates the site will be getting with v2.0:

At this time I expect that we should be done by the end of the month, hopefully sooner! I will be posting updates a couple times a week as we make progress, including some screenshots.

Today, we just confirmed a MAJOR addition to the site (something that has actually been in the works for a while) which will be implemented in v2.0! I can’t tell you what yet, but its gonna be awesome!

I am very excited to announce that earlier this week myself and Adam aka Noxious began development on LPP v2.0! We are very excited, as it will feature an all new design, as well as lots of new features.

We will use this blog to keep you guys updated on our progress, and preview new features!

Right now, we are interested in suggestions that you guys have for the new site. Is there something you really like? Something that annoys you? Features you would like to see? Let us know by commenting on this blog post to let us know what you would like to see in v2.0.

 I can tell you that v2.0 will feature a complete media section, before anyone suggests that lol.
