lp's next album... concept album?

can you guys explain to me what do they actually mean by a concept album, cos i'm quite confused over it

examples like 'death magnetic' from metallica, of the alchemy index: vols I-IV from thrice. concept albums either tell a story about one person or one theme throughout the entire cd. 'american idiot' from green day was based primarily about a character named jimmy and his life. it's hard to describe, but i hope this made sense.

Yeah, kinda like "The Cool" by Lupe Fiasco, or "Hip Hop is Dead" by Nas. All follow the same basic subject/theme/story.

Oh right now i get what you mean thanks, should be pretty cool. Btw I heard my has already wrote two agressive upbeat songs, one of which was pretty heavy, so te new album might be pretty cool

sounds great, i just dislike the release late next year basically every album has had a few years between them. but its still gonna be great wonder what its gonna sound like

Yeah, but its good that LP releases stuff much earlier. I mean, there was a 5 year gap in the release of Meteora and M2M. I think by then a lot of fans had lost faith. A 2 year gap is good.

but at the same time... hardcore fans like us got live in texas, lpu3, lpu4, and i think lpu 5. between now and the next album we'll get the live dvd, and lpu8 (which is supposed to have new stuff altogether), so i think we'll be fine.
