Evolution- a theory in crisis.“We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged.”
This document was signed by professors from distinguished universities such as Yale, Princeton, U.C Berkley, Cambridge, MIT, as well as a Nobel Nominee for Quantum Chemistry and a top researcher at the Smithsonian Institute. These scientists have looked hard and long at the evidence and have walked away saying that i am not convinced, chance is no longer an option. Get something to eat and check the link out. If any of you have any questions feel free to ask, ill be happy to analize and debate. AND LETS NOT INSULT ANYONE FOR ONCE!!! Be critical in thinking, and rational in speaking. Don't jump into conclusions and try to understand what the other is trying say. http://www.observernews.net/artman/p...e_001814.shtml |

Re: Evolution- a theory in crisis.evolution is a big load of bull, the only evolution that has happened is changed WITHIN species eg. dogs changed over the years to other types of dogs, not all this dog-whale, bacteria-human bs

Re: Evolution- a theory in crisis.I don't know whether or not evolution is the complete answer, but I don't believe that a God created us. That sounds even more unlikely to me.

Re: Evolution- a theory in crisis.the fact this makes news, means most scientists are of the opposite opinion.
and while science doesn't explain all, I'm going to agree with them on this one. and I am still of the opinion that believing so easily in a divine dictatorship is a misbelief. maybe I am being one but I am not trying to be an ass just to be one. this is my opinion. and even though I heavily disagree with this, I do respect the opposite opinion. I mean I used to believe this myself, plus I don't want to fight for nothing. |

Re: Evolution- a theory in crisis.yea, evolution of life BY CHANCE is a complete bs. A designer is there, something that has pre-destined all of this. The designer may be god, may be nature herself, maybe anything... thats your opinion, something everyone should respect. All im conveying over here is that we're designed, and we have a reason to be designed. We're not the result of some unguided chance and nessicity. word...

Re: Evolution- a theory in crisis. Now that I know what we're talking about, this whole evolution of life crap hasn't affected us now, so why affect us in the future? Are freaking robots gonna replace us next? I believe we have some way evolved from primal genes, and so has every other living creature in that same species. There has never been a matter of where a cat over the years changes to a duck, or humans evolved from dinosaurs. And if God really is the Grand Oral Designer, He would have made us completely different from what we are today, because of evolution.

Re: Evolution- a theory in crisis.^well, some of us are taught in school that evolution is more of truth. Which is bs. So i cleared that. And also, as i mentioned earlier, i stressed on the point how evolution isn't an answer to the evolution of life. Not too many people knew that. But now hopefully they do. Im not saying anythin else.... JUST EVOLUTION BY CHANCE IS BS !!!

Re: Evolution- a theory in crisis.Hm are you Christian? You sound completely anti-Darwin.
The only reason i ask is to see if there is any scope for discussion. As your post shows, scientists who keep an open mind continually attack their hypotheses and refine it. If you brought this up as a discussion, good. But if you brought this up just to say "ok evolution is bs here's THE truth by scientists, now believe in (whatever god)" then there's really no scope for discussion, because religion is absolute. |

Re: Evolution- a theory in crisis.^ urm... this is a discussion forum u know
but anyways, im not tellin you to believe in god or not. Thats something you need to choose for yourself. All im saying is that evolution as we know it is false. (evolution by chance) there is an undirected force that makes life occur. That force could be anything. Im not sayin its god.If read the first two lines again as i shall quote “We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged.” notice that i underlined the words "skeptical" and "random". If you look at the evidence you will see that there is just no scope for random mutations at all. I've explained this several times as brief and simple as possible and i would love to inform you about it. Now again, im not saying that GOD had something to do with all of this, im just saying evolution through random mutations (which has been the theory of evolution since darwin) is false. |
