Linkin Park Confirmed for Guitar Hero and Rock Band

Earlier this week, Harmonix released the official soundtrack for the next installment of Rock Band, Rock Band 2. The game will feature Linkin Park's debut U.S. single off Hybrid Theory, "One Step Closer". This is the first time Linkin Park will be featured in the Rock Band franchise. Rock Band 2 will be released exclusively for the Xbox 360 in September, then released for the PlayStation 3, Playstation 2, and Nintendo Wii during the Holiday season. It is rated Teen.

Linkin Park has also been confirmed for the next Guitar Hero title, Guitar Hero: World Tour. However, the song they will be using has not been announced. This will be Linkin Park's second Guitar Hero appearance, as "No More Sorrow" has been available as a downloadable bonus track for Guitar Hero 3. Guitar Hero: World Tour will be released on October 27th, 2008, for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation 2 and Playstation 3. It is rated Teen.

Good news! I really hope they use another song from Hybrid Theory for Guitar Hero, maybe A Place For My Head.
