Teenage Suicide

So, over the weekend, a kid at my school, a junior, committed suicide. While I did not hang out with him, he was in my chemistry class. He had been struggling with depression, and had made previous attempts at suicide. It is sad to know that he had to go this way, as he seemed like a nice kid. Its also disturbing to know someone who you think is doin ok, is actually in need of help. So if you know anyone who is struggling in their life, and or has made references to suicide, please be sure and get them help. If anything, talk to them. There is no reason why a 16 year old should just give up on life.

Seems like a main thing these days. Teenagers with depression. It's really sad to see people just give up on life, high school can be brutal. Wish he would've gotten help instead of resorting to this.

ya man...i've dealt with some a couple people who had thought seriously of suicide and i stuck by them and was a friend from them. originally wasn't at all and now they are amoung my best friends. usually people who think about suicide are really just lonely inside and just need something to relate too that's possitive. at least that's what i've learned in my dealing with people with depression.

It makes me so sad to see a 16 year old person with their whole lif e ahead of them go... people often say to them selves how "This will never happen to me" but this proves, it doesn't matter who you are.

I think it's sad how kids are treated these days and it leads them to things like that. So many kids have been dying lately of suicide and im like wow. Then I see kids that want attention and try and cut themselves to make it seem like life is hell for them. I think to myself they wouldnt even last a day if they were in there shoes.

that is so sad a year ago i had this friend named Cassie & she was bipolar & everyday at school she wood have new cuts on her arm & she told me she almost commited suicide & she was only 12 years old, i havent heard from her in almost a year cuz shes in middle school & im in high school, & i tried talking 2 her & seeing how she was but i cant git a hold of her

It's really sad though, I can't stand it when people bring other people down, that's what causes this kind of stuff.

I kid who i grew up with and was best friends with from birth until i was 12 (i moved away) killed himself the other week. I was really saddened by this and wish i had built bridges and caught up with him

The reason people kill themselves is because of people who feel so bad about themselves they need to put other people down. Wheter they be calling them fat asses or retards, or emo... It's just not right to put someone down and make them want to resort to killing themselves.
