I think Valentine's Day, because, well, it isn't about Valentine's Day! Awesome lyrics, and a smooth voice to go with it.

I would say Valentine's Day also simply because the lyrics are so poetic as opposed to many of the other songs' somewhat more direct lyrics. The lyrics give a feeling of grief and gloom and almost puts you in the situation. "A black wind took them away from sight and now the darkness over day that night / And the clouds above move closer looking so dissatisfied but the heartless wind kept blowing, blowing." Very heartfelt and almost paints a picture in your head.

The next best lyrics would be In Pieces and TLTGYA. I haven't really taken the time to analyze In Pieces but off the top of my head, I would say the lyrics are contradictory and oxymoronic which is in all just beautiful-- "Your lips say that you love;Your eyes say that you hate," "There's truth in your lies; doubt in your faith," etc. This style stirs a deep, compelling feeling and is unparalleled.

TLTGYA is also poetic right when the song starts, "Water grave; through the windows, up the stairs / chilling me like an ocean; everywhere." I also like the water theme throughout the song--they don't come out and say it but they make references to it("six feet under water; I do" "generations dissappear; washed away...")and when you finally find out what the song is about, you realize the sagacity of the song--which really is a masterpiece in my opinion.

I love the lyrics of Leave Out All The Rest simply because when I actually focus on them it evokes a lot of emotion for me.

I can really relate to the lyrics of Bleed It Out and Given Up on a personal level, so I'm naturally partial to those songs.

I really like the lyrics for In Pieces, not just for the actual words themselves but for how Chester performs them. He builds up the force and level as the song progresses, and it creates a tension for me that gets resolved once the song breaks into the guitar solo and whatnot.

Honorable mention goes to Hands Held High because Mike is awesome.

And of course, The Little Things Give You Away has powerful lyrics that evoke more emotion. My favorite part is how they turn "Six feet under water" into "Six feet under ground." When I first heard that it blew me away, haha.

I have to sat Bleed it Out, mainly beacause of the way mike wrote the lines, that you don't really know whats going on, yet its very poetic with the images. He covers tvery well what the song means and thats something really hard to do...
And of course Hands Held High have to be mentioned as well

I`d say In pieces and TLTGYA.

The lyrics in In pieces are so real but expressed in a poetic ans metaphoric way. "There's truth in your lies, doubt in your faith." Someone already mentioned oxymoronic and contradictory way which works great in this song. Also Chester`s performance gives this song special something.

TLTGYA lyrics are powerful and every person can identify in a way with the emotions in this song. One of the best LP lyrics ever.

Definitely Hands Held High and especially the ending of the song"With hands held high into a sky so blue as the ocean opens up to swallow you"-very powerful lyrics.Also In Pieces(which in my opinion has the most emotional lyrics that Chester has ever written)and of course The Little Things a song that one day I think it will become classic simply because it deserve it!
